Electric Vehicle Electronics Technician

Our DNA is one part maritime, one part Silicon Valley tech, and one part aerospace. Our first product, the Navier 30,is an electric hydrofoil boat that flies above the surface of the water. It is more than 10 times as efficient as a gas boat its size, and it boasts the longest range of any electric boat on the market.

Job Description:

Navier is seeking an experienced electric vehicle electronics technician to join our team and bean integral part of building and testing our vessels. Responsibilities:

  • Build high voltage wiring harnesses using automotive style high voltage connectors, such as Amphenol Powerlok.
  • Build low voltage wiring harnesses using automotive, and marine rated components. Familiarity with Deutsch DT/HDP series, Delphi/Aptiv Metri pack 280 series or similar is a plus.
  • Test and integrate custom PCBs into systems
  • Diagnose and repair electrical wiring issues using multimeters and oscilloscopes
  • Provide verbal and written feedback to engineering team on design
  • Work with vendors to procure parts
  • Support engineering team with bench test harnesses and other prototyping tasks Required Skills:
  • Associate’s degree, with extensive practical experience as an automotive or marine electronics engineering technician
  • Valid electric vehicle safety training certificate or demonstrated experience working with high voltage battery systems
  • High attention to detail and strong desire to produce quality work.
  • Familiarity using hand held crimp tools for typical automotive/marine electrical wiring contacts
  • Experience with PCB soldering and rework
  • Excellent documentation and written communication
  • Strong understanding of physics and engineering fundamentals Highly Desired:● Experience with the maritime environment (e.g., IP ratings, ABYC standard)● Warehousing and forklift experience
  • Experienced and passionate boater
